onsidered by Arab musicians as the greatest oud instrument player of all time (a.k.a. King of The Oud), Farid Al Atrache’s talent was musically diverse, as he was a highly esteemed composer, singer, and instrumentalist.
Born in Syria to a Druze Royal family, Farid’s musical interest was sparked at an early age, since his mother sang and played the oud. Farid had a long and colorful music career lasting four decades, until his passing away in 1974. Over his lifetime, Farid recorded approximately 350 songs and starred in 31 movies, and has left a legacy to Arabic music
